A colourful network full of environmental ideas

This morning, on 19 November 2025, the Schmetterling-wide environmental network met around a campfire for a lively exchange despite the cool temperatures. The members of the environmental label team from all four locations proudly presented the environmental initiatives they had implemented over the past few months. Some of the initiatives had even developed into small, mature projects over the course of weeks.
The children and teams explored energy, nutrition and noise prevention in a variety of ways. They researched how to make electricity audible with lemons or how to power wind turbines with candles, designed energy memory games, tried out shadow and light games, and experimented with wind-up radios. In the kitchen, pasta was cooked over an open fire, butter was churned by hand, and milk production and energy sources for it were explored.
There was also plenty of time for listening, marvelling and quiet reflection: the children built retreats, experimented with hearing protection and stethoscopes, and practised the joy of mindful togetherness.
